The Google Ads management cost Delhi NCR businesses pay runs from ₹15,000 to ₹40,000 a month on a flat fee, or 10% to 20% of ad spend on a commission deal. Under ₹50,000 of monthly ad spend, expect ₹12,000 to ₹20,000 in fees. Between ₹1 lakh and ₹3 lakh, fees sit around ₹25,000 to ₹40,000. Above ₹5 lakh, most agencies settle at 8% to 12%. A one-time account setup or audit with no ongoing management runs ₹15,000 to ₹35,000.
Ad spend is separate from every number above, and it goes to Google rather than to the agency. Add 18% GST on the management fee if the agency is registered for it, which any agency billing past ₹20 lakh a year is. The rate on services is set out on the GST portal.
An agency quoting ₹5,000 a month is not managing your account. Someone opens it, switches on a campaign, and sends a screenshot on the first of the month. That is a monthly ritual, not management.
I have sat in on enough of these conversations to know the spread in Delhi NCR runs to roughly three times for what sounds like the same scope. One week, one Karol Bagh retailer spending ₹60,000 a month on ads: quoted ₹9,000 by one agency and ₹32,000 by another. Both called it Google Ads management. The ₹9,000 quote covered one search campaign and left the landing page alone. The ₹32,000 quote covered three campaigns, a rebuilt enquiry form, call tracking and a competitor review every month. Two different products wearing one label.
What the bands look like side by side
| Monthly ad spend | Flat fee | Percentage of spend | What it usually buys |
|---|---|---|---|
| Under ₹50,000 | ₹12,000 to ₹20,000 | 15 to 20% | one account, one or two campaigns, monthly reporting |
| ₹50,000 to ₹1,50,000 | ₹20,000 to ₹35,000 | 12 to 18% | weekly optimisation, search term mining, negative keywords, landing page edits |
| ₹1,50,000 to ₹5,00,000 | ₹35,000 to ₹55,000 | 10 to 15% | creative refresh, call tracking, two accounts, conversion rate work |
| Above ₹5,00,000 | ₹55,000 and up | 8 to 12% | a team, Shopping and Performance Max, retention and margin work |
Treat these as bands, not a rate card. Two agencies in the same city with identical scope can sit ₹10,000 apart and both be honest, because what they pay their staff and how many accounts one person handles are different.
What a Google Ads retainer actually covers
A real retainer is weekly work. Ask any agency in Noida or Gurgaon what happens on a Tuesday and you find out quickly whether they are running the account or watching it.
- Campaign and account structure: how budget splits across search, Shopping, Performance Max and remarketing, and which of those should not exist for your business.
- Search term review: the actual queries that triggered your ads, plus the waste you cut. This is where a Google Ads manager earns their fee.
- Negative keyword upkeep: brand names you should not bid on, competitors, and the junk queries that quietly eat 15 to 30% of a badly managed budget.
- Bidding and budget pacing: switching between target CPA, target ROAS and manual bidding as the account matures, and moving spend to the locations and hours that convert.
- Ad copy and assets: headlines, sitelinks, callouts, image extensions, and testing all of them.
- Landing page and conversion tracking: form events, call tracking, and the tagging you need before you can trust any number in the report.
Call tracking costs extra, usually ₹1,500 to ₹4,000 a month depending on the number of lines, and it is billed by a third party rather than the agency. Google’s own Google Ads help centre documents what a live campaign should be doing, and ten minutes there is worth more than any agency deck.
Flat fee or a percentage of ad spend?
Percentage deals reward the agency for spending more of your money. Flat fees reward the agency for keeping the account stable. Neither is automatically right.
A percentage makes sense above ₹3 lakh a month of spend, because the work scales with the account and so does the fee. Between ₹50,000 and ₹1,50,000, a flat fee protects you. On a ₹1 lakh budget at 15%, the fee moves up and down with the media spend but the work barely changes month to month.
What I tell business owners: pick a flat fee with a written scope, then revisit it when spend doubles. Percentage arrangements invite a fight every time you want to trim a losing campaign, and that fight is not in your interest.
Setup and migration are quoted separately. Moving from another agency or rebuilding a messy account is ₹15,000 to ₹35,000, and anyone promising a “free” migration has buried it in the monthly fee.
What pushes a Google Ads quote up
Four things move the number, and none of them is the agency being greedy.
The number of locations or accounts is the big one. A single clinic in Noida Sector 62 and a five-branch chain are not the same job, and a chain pays 2 to 3 times a single-location fee.
Category competition sets your cost per click, and Delhi NCR is not one market. Interior design, immigration consultants and dental implant queries routinely clear ₹40 to ₹90 a click, while a local service business can still buy clicks at ₹8 to ₹25. Higher CPCs mean more search terms to review, more negatives to manage and a tighter budget, so the fee rises with the work.
Creative and landing pages add cost when the agency builds them. If they are only running campaigns on top of an unchanged website, that should show in the price.
Tracking complexity adds cost too. CRM integrations, offline conversion imports and multi-location call tracking are all real hours.
How to read a quote that hides the ad spend
Most confusing quotes blur the line between the fee and the media budget. The Google Ads management cost Delhi NCR question becomes unanswerable when the quote just says ₹50,000 and nobody tells you whether ₹40,000 of that is going to Google.
Three checks before you sign anything.
Ask for the fee and the recommended media budget as two separate lines, in writing. Then ask what your fee covers when you pause all campaigns for a month. If the answer is “the same”, you are paying for a seat, not a service. And look at the exit terms. A 12-month lock-in with a 60-day notice is a sign the agency expects churn.
A quote built on “we will get you leads at ₹300 each” without access to your account or the search terms behind it is a guess with a number attached. You own the Google Ads account. Make sure the agency is working inside your account and not theirs, and that you keep admin access from day one.
Questions owners ask before signing
How much should a small business in Delhi NCR pay for Google Ads management?
For a single location spending under ₹50,000 a month on ads, ₹12,000 to ₹20,000 is the fair band. Anything under ₹10,000 in Delhi usually means the account is set up once and then ignored, and you will pay for it in wasted spend within a quarter. A Google Ads management cost Delhi NCR quote only tells you something once you know what it covers.
Is a percentage of ad spend better than a flat fee?
Above ₹3 lakh a month, yes. The work scales with spend, and a percentage keeps the agency’s effort aligned with the budget. Below that, a flat fee with a defined scope is easier to police.
Do agencies charge separately for setup?
Nearly all of them do, ₹15,000 to ₹35,000 for an account build or migration. Some bundle it into a nine or twelve-month commitment. Either is fine, but a separate line makes the total honest.
What contract length is normal?
Three to six months, cancelable with 30 days notice after the first 90 days. A Google Ads account needs roughly 8 to 12 weeks to produce a reliable cost per lead, so a one-month trial tells you nothing. A 12-month lock-in tells you something about the agency.
Can I run it myself and just pay for one audit?
Yes, if you have two hours a week and patience for search terms. A one-time audit with a priority fix list is ₹15,000 to ₹25,000. I have watched two owners take that route and then hire it out four months later once the account reached ₹1 lakh of monthly spend. Possible, just not sustainable.
Where this sits in your other costs
If you are rebuilding your marketing budget, put this article next to what local SEO costs in Delhi NCR and what a digital marketing retainer costs. Budget the fee and the media separately, then revisit the Google Ads management cost Delhi NCR band you picked once your spend doubles. Paid search and organic search do different jobs, and buying one without the other shows up in the numbers. If social is also on your list, our breakdown of Meta Ads retainers in Delhi NCR uses the same bands.
